We hear you. The gaming industry stinks right now. There have been over 10,000 layoffs alone in 2024 and there’s only a 5% chance of landing a job as a junior in 12 months of applying. WHAT?? It’s tough seeing an industry we love struggle like this, especially when we know it has the potential for so much more.

So who are we? Well, we’re so happy you asked.

Jili 77 & Scatter Game Academy is a gamified bootcamp where we turn students into game devs and game devs into indie studio founders through our live online classes.

We’re incredibly excited to announce a major new department of our business that we estimate will help 500 game devs find a place in the industry in the next 5 years, and will eventually dwarf our current educational offerings.

This is our direct answer to how screwed up the gaming industry is, and we’d love to invite you to come hear EXACTLY what we have in store. SO what ideas are we hatching?

We’ll be aiming to serve new game developers and juniors in the industry that want to launch their own games. With the industry so hard to break into and not very junior accessible, the goal with this program is to remove that barrier of entry and give new devs support to take charge of their own financial destiny. This can include people transitioning from other jobs, or people who are fresh out of school and just starting their careers.

We’re also hoping to serve disgruntled developers who have been in the industry, those who have been burned by the big corporate structure of AAA and the layoffs. We want to leverage those who are looking now to branch out on their own paths, but need outside support to launch a full fledged company.
